Students can complete internships in the Pelion Garden during the final month of their senior year as part of the Service-Learning Initiative. Students must observe all deadlines and go through the regular application process to secure this opportunity. Prospective interns must read and agree to the job description before applying (here).
Pelion Garden can support a maximum of four SLI interns.
This hands-on experience would be most beneficial for students interested in the following career areas: Teaching, Science, Ecology, Agriculture/food, Horticulture, Public Service, Landscaping, and/or Urban Planning. There is some manual labor required; there is also some research required. Interns should be flexible as the schedule and tasks do fluctuate based on weather and other factors.
Questions about interning in the garden can be addressed to Caesandra Seawell, Garden Manager, [email protected].
