Field Trips & Tours

Pelion proudly hosts other schools for in-garden activities and science fun. Classes can incorporate a stop at Pelion for lessons and a picnic lunch.

Field trips are available for local schools, garden clubs, youth groups, after-school programs, home school groups or “un-school” sessions. We recommend late spring, summer, and autumn as the best time to see a lot of natural activity in the garden, as well as comfortable temperatures.

The garden can accommodate up to 45 students with chaperones. (Larger groups will require more staff and activities in the adjacent park). Field trips do require advanced planning to best suit the age and interests of the students. Please allow plenty of lead time before scheduling a field trip. Contact Caesandra Seawell, Garden Manager, at 716-803-5566 or [email protected] to discuss options and schedule.
