We love volunteers! No skills are necessary. We have an ongoing need for extra hands to help maintain the garden, assist in fundraising, organize activities, and staff events. From April through November we host monthly “First Thursday” and “First Saturday” garden work events to accomplish regular garden maintenance tasks. Parents, students, teachers, friends, and community members are all invited to come lend a hand. Simply show up to one of the scheduled days—bring a friend, a pair of gloves, your favorite water bottle, and sunhat.
We are also in need of dedicated individuals who are able to commit time to the garden effort by leading an activity, event, or a fundraising campaign.
In addition, volunteers with specific skills, such as carpentry, photography, graphic design, publicity, and grant research, are also very helpful. If you can lend your time and talent, please connect with us soon.
Interested parents should contact lead parent volunteer Ellen Barnum at embarnum(at)gmail(dot)com.
Is your corporation or organization looking for volunteer service sites or service learning opportunities? We gladly host service days where students work alongside community members to complete garden projects.
